I’m Charlie Mertens. I’m a designer & illustrator born and raised on Long Island, NY. From October 2016-January 2017 I lived out of my Jeep Cherokee while freelancing and camping across America, before eventually landing in Portland, Oregon.

Skateboarding and baseball (Let’s Go Mets!) are my main two but just about anthing that will get me outside and active. I’m also a big fan of vintage sports uniforms and some occasional skate/running footwear.

Are the projects where I can see work come to life. I love designing and sourcing merch, working in print, and helping build brands through consistent design strategy. Looking forward I hope to work more within craft industries such as coffee, cannabis, and skateboarding with businesses that share similar values around sustainability, inclusivity and consumer education.
